Weddings
I love weddings, if you are looking for natural, relaxed and informal photos I could be the photographer for you. Every wedding and couple are different, some people want me there from getting ready until the dancing stops, others just want photos of part of their day. This is why my pricing isn’t fixed, giving flexibility for you. I am a gay woman with a wonderful partner and love photographing LGBTQ+ weddings.
What to expect from me… when you first make an enquiry with me we will have a chat about your wedding, where and when it is, how many guests you expect and what sort of photography style you like. I joke that I am a photographer for people who don’t like being photographed, but it is genuinely the case, because I stay in the background as much as possible, it allows you to relax and mostly forget that I am there.
If it’s a full day you’ve booked me for I will arrive early enough to get pictures of you all getting ready, using some of the time to capture venue photos and all the little details that you’ve spent time planning!
During the ceremony I like to be in the background, not intrusive or distracting for you or your guests. I want to capture each beautiful moment for you, while letting you be completly in the moment.
After the ceremony I will encourage a little time for just you and your partner, a few moments to breathe and connect. This is a good time to get some photos of you together if you’d like them, but again this will be low pressure and is really just a little stroll for the two of you (and me and my camera!).
If you’ve booked me to stick around I will aim to get the moments you might not see, as well as the ones you’re part of. People chatting, dancing, celebrating. My aim is to really capture the feel of your special day and all the love I see.
I don’t tend to take any formal shots, though will usually try and get one of everyone together, this is usually the moment I climb on something unsuitable to get high enough up to get everyone in! Sometimes people want one or two posed shots, often grandparents expect these, if this is the case just let me know and I’ll get those for you.
When it’s time for me to go I will reluctantly pack away my camera and head home to my computer where I will back up your photos for safety and then will probably edit one or two (hundred. Kidding. But also, not kidding). I tend to edit the photos very soon after the day as I am exciteable and cannot wait to see the pictures and it is such a joy to relive the day through them!
Once edited I will upload the photos to an online portfolio for you to download and use as much as you want. I upload small files that are the right size of rsharing online and large files for developing, a photobook is a lovely way of keeping your pictures from the day.
If this sounds like your kind of wedding photography, please drop me a line!
